Grace time

I spent some time yesterday and today volunteering at Grace's new school. It is the prettiest school I have ever been in, and I'm so glad she is going there. She rides the bus and loves school when she gets there. This is a great improvement over last year when she had a stomach ache almost every day. This school is much closer to her house and she is just so happy there.

After school yesterday, she came home with me. You may remember the post I made a couple of months ago about taking her to the library to sign up for the summer reading program. She used great reasoning skills to try to figure out how many jelly beans were in a jar. Well, apparently her reasoning was right on track because she was one of the winners! So yesterday after school I took her to the library to claim her prize. She got five books and a bag of jelly beans! She was proud of herself and I was proud of her!

When we got back, we went to see Sonya. She was babysitting her grandson, and Grace had the best time holding him. I'm not so sure he liked it as much as Grace did.

We had fun playing together before Grandy got home from work. We played cards and she beat me at Go Fish, Crazy Eights, and Casino.

It was such a nice afternoon that I'm going to work at her school and bring her home with me every week on Thursday so we can spend some time together.
