I went to the best conference this weekend with Denise and Patti. There were five speakers; Chonda Pierce, Thelma Wells, Angela Thomas, Karen Kingsbury, and Stormie Omartian. Each speaker was wonderful. I have read books by Karen Kingsbury and Stormie Omartian, so I looked forward to hearing them speak. And I had previously heard Chonda Pierce (she's SO funny) speak, so I knew I would enjoy her. I had never heard Thelma Wells or Angela Thomas, but they were funny and entertaining too.
The music was extraordinary in itself. Newsong did worship to begin each day and performed between the speakers. They even did a concert in the afternoon. The concert Friday night was Mandisa. She was the American Idol winner in the fifth season of the show. WOW! Does she have a voice!!
It was the most uplifting conference I have ever attended. We all laughed lots and cried many tears. God was definitely there with us.
