Muckle Memorial Baptist Church

We have met some very, very nice people since we've been here. Since I'm here at the condo during the week with no one to visit, I have been talking to the ladies on the housekeeping staff. One of them has just been so nice, and she invited us to her church. We went there today--Muckle Memorial Baptist Church. The service was very nice. The music was great--they sang old hymns that we were familiar with. The only accompaniment was a tambourine. We loved the music. The message was great too. God was really moving in the church, and if we didn't think so the tone of the preacher's voice was definitely moving. I guess he was trying to get the Lord's message to the surrounding community because he was VERY loud.

This was definitely an island church because the entire congregation, which was a small group, was made up of island people. In fact, we were wondering why they had to ask if there were any first time visitors because it was quite evident that we weren't part of the usual crowd. They made us feel very welcome and we both commented that it's a shame we found this little church on our last Sunday here.
