Gosh it's been a long time since I updated my blog. It seems like I stay busy but I don't get much accomplished! Here are some things that have gone on in the last few weeks.
I've been spending a good bit of time at Grace's school. I enjoy it and so does she. It's really fun to be in the school in a no-pressure situation! One of the nice things that happened there recently was the Spelling Bee. Each class had two representatives and Grace was one of the two from her class. She did well. Even though she didn't win the competition, she's a winner in my opinion. I was so proud of her!
There aren't many times that I have a chance to get Emily and Grace together. Usually when Emily is here Grace is with her mom and dad enjoying the weekend, or she's at school. But I stopped by Buddy's house one Saturday when I picked Emily up so they could play together. It was so cute. Grace really tried to "mother" Emily!! I love to see them play together.
We were lucky enough to have Emily with us for Halloween. She was the cutest Blues Clues!!!
She was very reluctant to go to the first few houses, but as soon as she realized what was going on she acted like a Halloween pro!! I had to laugh at Grandy. He wasn't going to go trick-or-treating. But he ended up going with us after all. I'm really not sure who had the most fun; Emily or Grandy!!
The Vietnam Veterans Moving Wall was in Gonzales for a few days. We took the time to go see it. It was very awe inspiring. I knew that more than 58,000 lives were lost in the war, but nothing could have prepared me for the visualization of it that the wall presented. It was very humbling to know that so many gave their lives while serving our great country in that conflict. There was no way to get a picture of the entire wall because it was just too long.
When I go to Grace's school to volunteer, I try to bring her home with me for some Yah Yah and Grandy time. The Yah Yah time only lasts until Grandy gets home from work!!

We will be leaving in a few days to go to California for Thanksgiving. It has become a tradition for us the last few years and we love our visits there. Emily will be going with us again this year. I'm not sure who is more excited, me or her!!
