An Emily weekend

Andy and I do things without Emily or Grace. But it seems like the best times we have involve one of those sweet little girls. This weekend we were blessed with a visit from Emily.

With LSU football in full swing, Emily was the cutest cheerleader I've seen. Even though the team hasn't really played well, they've been able to pull out a victory in each game. Maybe it's because people who look like this are cheering them on.

On Emily's first Easter we bought her this swing. Every time she visits us she wants to swing in it. Thank goodness she hasn't outgrown it because she really loves it.

She really, really likes to help around the house, especially in the kitchen. I'm reluctant to let her do some things, like load the dishwasher, which is one of her favorite things to do. But I did let her help make the muffins for breakfast Saturday. She was happy to help, and did a great job. The muffins were good...maybe it's the touch she added.

We did some craft fair shopping on Saturday and on the way, we stopped to see some ducks. Emily was very excited about seeing them before we got there, but when they came waddling toward her, she was a bit more reluctant and made a quick getaway. My best description is that she liked them from afar.

We spent the afternoon with Mamaw and Papaw. We watched part of the LSU game, and Emily really provided entertainment for us. As I said before, the game was lousy, but the entertainment was great.

She also has discovered chocolate pudding. I think she likes it.

I can't wait for the next time she comes to stay with us.
