Busy week with Emily

Emily went home Sunday after being here over a week. We really enjoyed her and were very, very busy while she was here.

We took her to The Cabin to eat. I was amazed at her appetite! She ate and ate. Here she is looking over the menu, deciding what to order.


And here she is tasting the lemon from Grandy's tea. She must have liked it because she kept tasting it over and over.


As always, when Grandy is here, Yah Yah becomes second fiddle.


We went to see Mindy at Youth Challenge on Family Day. Emily and Grandy sat and watched the cadets march in.


Mindy looks so good. She's happy and smiles all the time. She did what teenagers do and talked on the phone for a while, but spent most of the day visiting with us.


Emily has learned about singing. I tried to get her singing the entire alphabet, but it took more than one sitting. Here she is with the beginning.

She is practicing to be a teenager. Maybe she took lessons from Mindy!! She loves talking on the phone.


Emily went for her first real haircut. She had her bangs trimmed before, but this was her first real haircut. She sat amazingly still.


We went to the Hot Air Balloon Festival. We were so surprised to see Youth Challenge there and were lucky enough to get an unexpected visit with Mindy.


Emily watched amazed when paratroopers jumped from an airplane.




It was so pretty watching the balloons inflate.


And isn't she a cutie with her pigtails!


It was a busy few days, but we enjoyed every minute of it.
