Safe and Sound

We survived Gustav!!! It was quite a storm, and there is damage everywhere you look. We've been told that our electricity may not be on for two weeks, but at least we're safe. Our house didn't have any damage at all--we are so fortunate.

We got a call early yesterday saying that Buddy's house was hit by a tree. We went there this morning to help with the cleanup. He wasn't really interested in getting the tree off the house until an insurance adjuster had a chance to look at it. We did help him work with his neighbors to clear the road. The electrical wires were all down and in some places they looked like spaghetti. But the best part of all was that no one was injured.
