Thankful Thursday

It's Thursday and my list of things to be thankful for continues to grow.

I'm thankful that Papaw finally has an appointment with his oncologist and will be able to begin his treatments soon. I'm also thankful that he found his cancer early and it will be taken care of quickly.

I'm thankful that LSU won the super-regional and will be going to the College World Series once again. They are such a powerhouse, thanks to the early days of Skip Bertman at LSU. After he coached baseball, he became LSU's Athletic Director. He is retiring this year, and I'm thankful that the team is going to Omaha again in his last season.

I'm thankful that Mom and Dad are getting the chance to go to Omaha to watch some of the games. Thanks, Buddy!

I'm thankful that we have had this time in St. Croix. I'm also thankful that in just over two weeks we will be coming home. I'm having a great time here, but had no idea just how much I would miss my family and friends. I'll be so glad to get home.

I'm thankful that when we get home a job is waiting for Andy at Pinnacle Polymers. He had the job on a trial basis for a few weeks before we came here, but until last week we weren't sure whether or not the job would be waiting for him when we got back.

I'm thankful for my family. God has really blessed me with a close family. It's hard to be this far away from them when I miss them so much. But that will end soon and I'll be back home!!

I'm thankful that sweet little Grace called last night just to check on when we're coming home! She's such a cutie and I can't wait to see her

And last, but certainly not least, I'm thankful for my family. I love each one so much.
