Point Udall

Yesterday I went to Point Udall. It is the easternmost point of the United States. It was so pretty, looking out and seeing nothing but beautiful blue water on three sides as far as the eye could see. It was a little thought provoking to think that I was farther east in our great country than all the millions (maybe billions) of people who are walking on American soil.



The drive out to the point was breathtaking. I had been to the north shore of the island a few weeks ago and thought that was the prettiest thing I had ever seen. But I stand corrected in that thought because the view on the east end was even prettier than the north side. The island in this picture is Buck Island, which is where we went sailboating and snorkeling last weekend. What an awesome view!
